Plot Synopsis

COMMUNITY SURFACE follows crews, typically comprised of volunteers and local contractors, as they give back to their community by helping to fix local tennis facilities in desperate need of help. The pilot episode takes place in Nashville, TN, where floods in May 2010 nearly destroyed 19 public tennis courts at the Centennial Sportsplex tennis facility. After the Tennis Channel provided $40,000 for materials, the facility closed for renovations on Monday, August 9, 2010 and remained closed until the newly-resurfaced courts were unveiled nine days later.
