Plot Synopsis

COOKING UP MURDER: UNCOVERING THE STORY OF CESAR ROMAN is a three-part documentary that analyzes a murder case implicating a Spanish chef, who built a career in the spotlight through a web of secrets and false identities. In August 2018, police find a human torso in a suitcase. The case soon leads to Cesar Roman, an eccentric entrepreneur known as the "King of Cachopo." As witnesses agree how Heydi changed upon meeting Cesar, he gives his version of her final night. Details of his escape come out. After two and a half years, the trial begins. Cesar acts as his own lawyer, ready to highlight some gaps in the investigation and prove his innocence.
