Plot Synopsis

Based on the Dutch TV series NEW NEIGHBOURS, THE COUPLE NEXT DOOR is a psychological thriller anthology series, with each season telling a different story about the claustrophobia of suburbia and the fallout of chasing your deepest desires. In the six-episode first season, wen Evie and Pete move into an upscale neighborhood, they find themselves in a world of curtain twitching and status anxiety. But soon find friendship in the shape of the couple next door, alpha traffic cop Danny and his wife, glamorous yoga instructor Becka. As time goes on, these two couples get increasingly close to each other and one fateful night, become sexually entangled in a way that will change their lives forever.

THE COUPLE NEXT DOOR made its U.S. debut on Friday, January 17, 2025 at 9:05pm ET/PT on Starz. In the series opener, "Welcome to Suburbia," Evie and Pete move to suburbia with the dream of starting a family; but it's not long before Evie's dreams start to take a different shape -- that of her hot new neighbor, Danny.

THE COUPLE NEXT DOOR has been renewed for a second season with a new cast: Annabel Scholey as Charlotte; Sam Palladio as her husband Jacob; Aggy K Adams as the story's villain, Mia; Sendhil Ramamurthy as Charlotte's ex-boyfriend, Leo; and more. Hugh Dennis who played the creepy neighbor Alan Richardson, returns to reprise his role.
