Plot Synopsis

THE CRAFTSMAN is a half-hour docuseries that follows master craftsman and woodworker Eric Hollenbeck, as he takes historic homes and forgotten treasures around his hometown of Eureka, California, and gives them new life. On Friday, September 3, 2021 Magnolia released "Creating the Craftsman," a sneak-peek episode of THE CRAFTSMAN. From high school dropout to woodworker, Eric's journey to become a master craftsman spans over four decades. A project from his early days resurfaces with an opportunity to restore a trolley car from the 1980s for his hometown. THE CRAFSTMAN officially debuted on Tuesday, March 15, 2022 on the Magnolia app in the morning and later that day at 9pm on Magnolia Network.

The sophomore season of THE CRAFTSMAN debuted on Friday, November 11, 2022 on the Magnolia App. In the season opener, "Sparking Curiosity," Eric and Viv decide it's time to re-decorate the front of the mill. Eric also explains how Cesar re-discovered a trade secret to create angled corbels, and talks about the importance of curiosity in woodworking and in life. Season 2 of THE CRAFTSMAN made its linear television debut on Thursday, January 19, 2023 at 8pm ET on the Magnolia Network.

On Saturday, November 11, 2023 at 11am ET/PT, Magnolia Network premiered "Preserving the Last Higgins Boat," a one-hour CRAFTSMAN special. Eric Hollenbeck gets the opportunity to preserve one of the last remaining Higgins Boats from WWII. His mission is to prepare her for her final stop at the Nebraska National Guard Museum and a leading role in the Seward, NE 4th of July parade.
