Plot Synopsis

Based on the mystery novels by Maria Lang, CRIMES OF PASSION is a collection of whodunnits set in Sweden in the 1950s. Puck Ekstedt is a university student obsessed with crime novels, so when she finds herself in the middle of mystery and murder, she's never short on ideas and insights. She's also in love with fellow academic Einar Bure, who is as drawn to her as he is to medieval history. Together with Einar's childhood friend, Police Commissioner Christer Wijk, they witness the passions, betrayals and intrigue in the lives of respectable and seemingly quiet-living Swedes. MHz Worldview aired the U.S. premiere of this series on Sunday, February 9, 2014 at 9pm ET/PT, showing the program in Swedish with English subtitles.
