Plot Synopsis

Mega-choreographer and creative director Laurieann Gibson and her group of aspiring dancers work with top-level celebrities and on high-profile projects, such as Katy Perry's USO event and Keri Hilson's latest music video. Laurieann depends on the following people: Richard 'Richy' Jackson, her right-hand man who she discovered at a P. Diddy audition nine years ago; Lacee Franks, her overworked assistant who is dying to get her chance to perform with the crew; Sarah Mitchell, her assistant choreographer who is struggling with her on-again, off-again relationship with Paul; Paul, one of Laurieann's star dancers; Kherington Payne, the newest member of the dance team; Paula Van Oppen, Kherington's roommate, fellow dancer and childhood friend; Joe Wilson, her longtime boyfriend who is a hot shot music supervisor; and Marcia, her outspoken Jamaican mother.
