Plot Synopsis

Each one-hour episode of DAWN OF THE APOCALYPSE explores the destruction of a city or civilization. The series premiere, "The Greek Grave," reveals how a volcanic eruption had cataclysmic effects seen across the globe, but affected the nearby island Crete -- and the Minoan people living there -- so much that this center of wealth and trade in ancient Greece quickly deteriorated. Then, the show's second episode, "The Fall of Sodom and Gomorrah," searches for the location of two cities out of religious texts -- Sodom and Gomorrah -- and tries to answer whether the fall of these ancient walls were an act of God or the tragic culmination of natural disasters.
