Plot Synopsis

DEAD LUCKY is a four-part crime thriller about two very different detectives who are thrown together to solve a murder, as told from multiple perspectives. Detective Sergeant Grace Gibbs is obsessed with catching the armed robber who murdered her junior officer, Tony Hodge. Charlie Fung, her new trainee, blames Grace for the death of his best friend. A share house of international students thinks that they have found paradise. A couple of greedy convenience store owners resort to deadly measures to defend their business. While on the outskirts, a violent fugitive is hiding. Over one week, the paths of these characters collide, leaving two people dead and one missing. The story opens with an armed robbery at a convenience store revealing Mani, a renowned cop killer, is back in Sydney, and Gibbs has the chance to finally catch her colleague's murderer. The more Mani insists he is guilty of Tony's murder, the more holes Grace and Charlie find in his story, leading them to a shocking discovery. As Grace and Charlie close in on Tony's murderer, Bo-Lin looks she may be caught up in a dangerous crime syndicate and Corey Baxter kidnaps another victim. As Grace closes in on Corey Baxter, she makes a terrible discovery that could destroy her unlikely friendship with Charlie.
