Plot Synopsis

Set 1,300 years after the events of HOW TO TRAIN YOUR DRAGON, dragons are now just a legend to the modern world. When a geological anomaly opens up an immense, miles-deep fissure in the Earth's surface, scientists from all over the world gather at a new research facility to study the mysterious phenomenon. Soon a group of misfit kids, brought to the site by their parents, uncover the truth about dragons and where they've been hiding -- a secret they must keep to themselves to protect what they've discovered. On Thursday, December 23, 2021, all six episodes of DRAGONS: THE NINE REALMS dropped on Hulu and Peacock.

The sophomore season of DRAGONS: THE NINE REALMS premiered on Thursday, May 5, 2022, as Hulu and Peacock released the entire seven-episode new season. With Project ICARIS furthering expeditions deeper into the fissure, keeping dragons a secret is becoming increasingly harder for the Dragon Riders. Meanwhile Jun, D'Angelo and Alex are growing more suspicious of Tom and Thunder's frequent solo quests, revealing Tom's mission of uncovering his viking heritage and mysterious connection with dragons.

Season 3 of DRAGONS: THE NINE REALMS debuted on Thursday, August 18, 2022, with Hulu and Peacock releasing all seven episodes. The season opens with Tom hatching an unorthodox plan to use a Monstrous Nightmare to test Alex's new fire suit.

DRAGONS: THE NINE REALMS returned for its fourth season on Thursday, November 17, 2022, as Hulu and Peacock released the entire six-episode new season. Tom and the riders discover a brand-new, frosty Ice Realm; once inside, they encounter a disguised Buzzsaw. Then, Alex and Eugene find themselves at odds with Tom and their fellow dragon riders when Feathers and Webmaster go missing during a blizzard in the Ice Realm.

All six episodes of Season 5 dropped on Thursday, March 2, 2023 on Hulu and Peacock. In the season opener, "Punishment and Torcher," while grounded at home, Tom must figure out how to help the Riders without getting in more trouble.

The sixth season of DRAGONS: THE NINE REALMS debuted on Thursday, June 15, 2023 on Hulu and Peacock, which both released the entire seven-episode new season. In the season opener, "Dragons Everywhere!," Tom struggles under the pressure of being the new 'Dragon Whisperer' for Rakke Town; Thunder rises to the occasion to help him.

Season 7 of DRAGONS: THE NINE REALMS premiered on Thursday, September 14, 2023 on Hulu and Peacock, as all seven episodes of the new season debuted. In the season opener, "Hobs and Saw," when Phil threatens to shut down D'Angelo's new dragon hospital and ban dragons from ICARIS, D'Angelo and a little Hobgobbler have to change his mind.

DRAGONS: THE NINE REALMS returned for its six-episode eighth and final season on Thursday, December 14, 2023 on Peacock and Hulu. In the season opener, "How to Train Jormungandr," Tom attempts to defeat the World Serpent by emulating Hiccup.
