Plot Synopsis

Using dramatic re-enactments and first-person interviews with local authorities, true-crime experts, and family members, EVIL STEPMOTHERS examines families that are destroyed by stepmothers. Each one-hour episode features a different stepmother, including: biker chick Kimberly Mangrum, who tightened her grip on her new family, leaving a path of murder and destruction in her dust; Anita Smithey, who is saved by Robert Cline from a seemingly abusive marriage, but reveals a dark side to her new step kids; and many more women who ruin the lives of their new families. On Thursday, May 4, 2017 at 10pm ET/PT, Investigation Discovery premiered the second season of EVIL STEPMOTHERS. In the season opener, "Caught in Her Crosshairs," after a string of failed relationships, Veronica thinks single dad, Russ, is the answer to her prayers. As long as his daughter, Kimberly, doesn't get in the way. As their family grows, so does this stepmother's rage and everyone is in her crosshairs. Investigation Discovery premiered the third season of EVIL STEPMOTHERS on Friday, April 13, 2018 at 9pm ET/PT. In the season opener, "Selfish Desires," Rebecca Osborne appears charming as she pursues widower Jerry Barker, but disaster is in store for her new groom. Jerry's children fear the worst when they uncover their stepmother's dark secret, which alludes to what's to come for their loving dad.

In the season ender, "Beyond Repair," 26-year-old blonde beauty Leah Ward brings sparkle back into the eyes of 40-year-old divorcee and entrepreneur, Ejaz Ahmad. But when Ejaz disappears only months later, it's his young son who leads the path to a grisly discovery and murder.
