Plot Synopsis

EXTREME HOUSEBOATS travels around the world to reveal the world's most outrageous homes on water. Each 60-minute episode features tours of at least three houseboats, including: a lavish Dutch cargo ship made of 100 tons of wood; a massive party boat retrofitted with a 40-foot twisting waterslide; a sprawling century-old steam schooner restored to all its glory; a million-dollar floating manor decked in marble and crystals; a majestic 5,500-square-foot yacht -- with a helicopter landing pad; a TV icon's legendary houseboat; a converted fishing vessel turned into a luxury spa; a secret luxury floating home with a $100,000 bathroom; a converted warship restored to new glory; and more. Travel Channel aired this program as a one-time, 60-minute special on Sunday, February 12, 2012 at 8pm ET. Nearly seven months later, Travel Channel aired three new episodes back-to-back on Sunday, November 4, 2012 from 8-11pm ET.
