Plot Synopsis

In each one-hour episode of FASTER WITH NEWBERN AND COTTEN, David Newbern and Mike Cotten reveal the ideology, technology and work it takes to add speed in a matter of days without breaking the bank. They may not have all the answers, but they're willing to give it a run by mixing affordable upgrades with sweat equity. In the series opener, "No-Prep Drag Race Mustangs!," the guys try their hand at no-prep drag racing against Lyle Barnett and his turbocharged 1,500-hp "Beer Money" Mustang. After a naturally aspirated attempt in Newbern's stock LS-powered '91 Mustang, the guys supercharge it and double their horsepower against Lyle.

Season 2 of FASTER WITH NEWBERN AND COTTEN premiered on Tuesday, March 5, 2024 at 10pm ET/PT on MotorTrend Network and earlier in the day on the MotorTrend app. In the season opener, "'57 Chevy Two-Day Turnaround!," the guys take Dave's blow, big-block '57 Bel Air to compete in the autocross at Cruisin' the Coast in Mississippi. With a complete overhaul of the suspension in the event's parking lot, the guys find out how much lap time they can shave with a weekend's worth of work.
