Plot Synopsis

FOOD QUEST is a half-hour series that takes audiences on a global culinary adventure with model Kim Alexis and her co-host -- Mario Lopez (Season 2) or Robin Leach (Season 1). On their travels, they meet the world's finest chefs, explore their restaurants, and learn the secrets behind producing the world's most exciting and delicious foods. In the series opener, Robin and Kim travel to Mexico, where they start their journey in Cabo San Lucas, Mexico to get an inside look at a $15,000 taco from the luxury of Gran Velas Resort. Viewers then escape to the extraordinary Chateau D'esclans, to learn the secrets to one of the world's most legendary wines. Kim and Robin then travel to California and Spain, to learn about gourmet olives, before finally heading back to Mexico, where they discover the joy of delicious Hass avocados.

Season 2 of FOOD QUEST premiered on Thursday, June 28, 2018 at 10pm ET on FYI TV, with Mario Lopez joining Kim Alexis as her new co-host. Season 2 explores everything from Chicago pizza to Shojin cuisine in Tokyo, the oldest spirits purveyor in London, the newest spin on vodka from San Francisco, sustainable swordfish in Florida, the Champagne region of France and rose at Manhattan's best rooftop bars and more. In the season opener, "California to Charleston," Kim and Mario take viewers across the country, starting with celebrity chef and lifestyle guru Jaime Laurita showing all the latest innovations from Viking kitchen appliances. A former Uber driver turned pizza impresario expands his business into virtual kitchens with the Uber Eats app. Wawa, the iconic road trip stop, fuels up people as well as cars with 24/7 food and drink choices. California's Select Harvest USA farms and packages sustainable, organic almonds and almond products. Whispering Angel Ros sponsors a ros garden and tasting session at the Charleston Wine and Food Festival.
