Plot Synopsis

GAME CHANGERS, hosted by Kevin Frazier, highlights professional athletes who use their public image to make positive changes in the lives of fans in need and the areas in which they live. Whether on or off the field, this series reveals how sports can positively impact individuals and the communities they serve. Each 30-minute episode usually includes three stories, including interviews and on-location segments like: an interview with Dodger pitcher and Cy Young Award winner Clayton Kershaw, who discusses how a trip to Africa changed his life; a voyage on the USS Midway aircraft carrier, where NFL heroes played football; and a trip to the MLS All-Star Game in Kansas City to hang out with youth soccer players at Futsal Park, a ballpark built for the community by MLS Works and Sporting Kansas City, and to learn how science can capture an athlete in 3D in a high-tech sports lab. This series premiered as part of CBS/Litton Entertainment's three-hour educational/informational programming block on Saturday mornings, branded "The CBS Dream Team, It's Epic!," which is targeted at 13-to-16-year-old viewers. In addition to airing on CBS, this programming block is available on American bases in more than 175 countries on the American Forces Network (AFN), a worldwide radio and television broadcast network that airs programming to service members and their families at American bases as well as those serving on 140 U.S. Navy ships at sea. Plus, the programs will be accompanied by an enhanced audio description of the scenes in all episodes -- inserted during existing pauses in the show's audio track -- to better reach viewers with learning disabilities, autism, or visually impairments, as well as for English language learners.

GAME CHANGERS WITH KEVIN FRAZIER returned for its third season on Saturday, October 3, 2015 at 11:30am ET/PT as part of CBS' Saturday morning educational & informational programming block (check local listings). The season opener, "The Healing Power," features: a former professional surfer named Izzy Paskowitz who helps children with autism; professional football player Brandon Marshall's efforts to bring awareness to mental illness; and the high-tech side of sports with NBA star Russell Westbrook.
