Plot Synopsis

GANGLAND CHRONICLES is a half-hour docuseries that takes an inside look at some of the world's most notorious criminal organizations and the masterminds behind them. Each 30-minute episode explores three legendary moments from a specific underworld group, ranging from mafias and cartels to motorcycle gangs and prison gangs. The series spotlights lucrative money-making rackets, deadly turf wars, iconic mob hits, crafty informants, and federal takedowns as well as features infamous gangsters such as Al Capone, Pablo Escobar, El Chapo, John Gotti, Whitey Bulger, and Sonny Barger. Interviews with journalists, authors, and former members of these organizations offer an exclusive look into the inner workings of these groups. Episodes include:

"The Gambino Family: The Gotti Years" (Sunday, August 11, 2024 at 10pm): When John Gotti, a Capo from the Bronx, gets fed up with the greedy boss, Paul Castellano, the most prominent NY Italian Mafia family will change forever.

"The Sinaloa Cartel: The El Chapo Years" (Sunday, August 11, 2024 at 10:30pm): Sinaloa and its leader El Chapo aim to become the world's largest drug trafficking organization, but their success is threatened by the Tijuana Cartel, and US and Mexican authorities.

"The Medellin Cartel" (Monday, August 12, 2024 at 10pm): The Medellin Cartel becomes the most powerful cocaine traffickers in the world, but when they go to war with Colombia the cartel tests their limits.

"Hells Angels: The Sonny Barger Years" (Monday, August 19, 2024 at 10pm): Sonny Barger's Hells Angels creates the bloodstained blueprint for all outlaw biker clubs that follow, but can they outwit the feds.

"The Mongols MC" (Monday, August 26, 2024 at 10pm): The Mongols Motorcycle Club's enemies, the Hells Angels and the authorities, threaten the existence of this outlaw motorcycle gang.

"The Winter Hill Gang" (Monday, September 2, 2024 at 10pm): Whitey Bulger's notoriously violent and untouchable Winter Hill Gang are the kings of Boston's underworld, until a secret alliance comes to light.
