Plot Synopsis

Based on the 2015 film THE CREW, GANGLANDS is a one-hour drama series that follows skilled robber Medhi and apprentice thief Liana, who get involved in a turf war between drug dealers and have to collaborate in order to save their loved ones. The story opens with small-time hustlers Shainez and Liana landing in hot water with a tough Brussels drug dealer after stealing from one of his men. Anissa asks Mehdi for help, and Mehdi and his men search for the missing drugs. The entire six-episode first season dropped on Friday, September 24, 2021 on Netflix.

GANGLANDS returned for its second season on Friday, February 17, 2023 on Netflix, as the streaming service released all six episodes of the new season. Mehdi, Liana and Tony find their plans to leave Belgium thwarted by the arrival of a new enemy -- one that forces them to ally with former foes. After one last heist, Mehdi arranges his affairs and prepares for Canada. The Djeblis play hardball during negotiations with new collaborators. As Saber seeks revenge, the Los Soles cartel comes for Nahel. Commissioner Herman blackmails a captive Tony into helping her locate Mehdi.
