Plot Synopsis

GHOST MINE is a reality series that follows a rag-tag group of miners and a pair of experienced paranormal investigators, as they search for precious metals and supernatural forces in an Oregon gold mine that was abandoned 80 years ago over fears that it was haunted. Forgotten in the remote woods of Oregon is one of the richest gold mines in the United States that was abandoned when a series of tragedies gave it an infamous reputation for being haunted. Now, a new owner has decided to take on the notorious legend and reopen the mine, assembling a group of miners who face the day-to-day challenges of mining, aided by the paranormal investigators who unravel the mysteries surrounding the mine, including historic Masonic connections and a spirit known to have haunted the area for generations.

On Wednesday, September 4, 2013, GHOST MINE returned for its second season. First, from 3-9pm ET/PT Syfy aired a marathon of encore presentations of Season 1 episodes. Then, at 9pm ET/PT Syfy showed a one-hour special hosted by Adam Copeland, as the miners and investigators gathered around a campfire to talk about the previous season. Finally, at 10pm ET/PT, Season 2 of GHOST MINE premiered. During Season 2, a familiar face unexpectedly returned to the Crescent Mine, which welcomed a few new additions, including: a third-generation miner joining his father and grandfather in Sumpter; an upgraded model of the popular RIPA (Remote Investigator of Paranormal Activity); and a four-legged excavation expert -- a pooch named Little Boy.
