Plot Synopsis

Comedian Josh Denny travels across the United States searching for outrageously large portions of food. In each half-hour episode, Josh travels to a different region of America, sampling the most ginormous dishes. On Friday, July 22, 2016 at 8pm ET/PT, Food Network premiered "Everything's Bigger in Texas," the pilot of GINORMOUS FOOD, with Josh out to prove that everything really is bigger in Texas as he travels to San Antonio to find some of the most outrageous dishes! First up is a two foot-long barbecue behemoth called the Big Mac Daddy at Smoke Shack, followed by a triple dose of cheesy goodness in the five-pound burger known as the Nacho Macho Burger from Broadway 5050. Then, topping it all off is a gotta-see-it-to-believe-it 62-inch pizza at Big Lou's. Five months later, Food Network debuted the official series premiere of GINORMOUS FOOD on Friday, January 6, 2017 at 8pm ET/PT. In the series opener, "Louisville's Epic Eats," Josh rides into Louisville to try his luck with a trifecta of magnificent meals. First, the Double Southern Belle at Mussel and Burger Bar, which sports fried green tomatoes, a full pound of black angus beef and several thick layers of pimento cheese. The Big Daddy Hot Brown at Gary's on Spring takes a famous Louisville dish and transforms it into a two-foot-wide, 10-pound masterpiece. Then, at the Come Back Inn, The Godfather makes a culinary offer he can't refuse: more than one and a half pounds of roast beef smothered in vegetables and marinara sauce, soaked in au jus, and served on a 12-inch roll.

Season 2 of GINORMOUS FOOD premiered on Friday, April 28, 2017 at 8pm ET/PT on Food Network. In the season opener, "Atlanta: Barbecue, Brunch and the Bayou," Josh rolls into Atlanta in search of a titanic Southern trinity. Bone Lick BBQ serves up a five-pound muffaletta piled high with pulled pork, brisket, collard greens and coleslaw. Cajun cooking comes east at Henry's Louisiana Grill, where a nine-foot po' boy named The Big Bayou Monster boasts thirty pounds of fried shrimp, crawfish, oysters and alligator. Then, a southern classic gets ginormous at Peach and The Porkchop when four pounds of chicken and waffles and a dozen fried eggs are piled atop two-foot wide pancakes for the Ultimate All-In-One.
