Plot Synopsis

Set in a newsroom in 1969, GOOD GIRLS REVOLT is a one-hour drama series that follows a group of young female researchers -- Jane Hollander, Patti Robinson, Cindy Reston -- at "News of the Week," who ask to be treated fairly. Their revolutionary request, led by lawyer Eleanor Holmes Norton, sparks convulsive changes and upends marriages, careers, sex lives, love lives, and friendships. Early in the season, Jane helps Sam nail down a challenging interview, while Patti's aspirations cause a rift in her relationship with Doug. The girls attend a consciousness-raising meeting, where Cindy makes a discovery about herself The pilot -- which was inspired by the landmark sexual discrimination cases chronicled in Lynn Povich's book, "The Good Girls Revolt" -- was released on November 4, 2015 on Amazon Video, one year before the official series premiere on Friday, October 28, 2016 at 3:01am ET/12:01am PT, when the entire 10-episode first season was released.
