Plot Synopsis

Inspired by the haunted artifacts in Zak Bagans' Las Vegas Museum, each episode of THE HAUNTED MUSEUM presents a chilling cinematic story of a ghoulish object from Bagans' eerie collection, scripted and produced in collaboration with Eli Roth and featuring exclusive commentary from Bagans about its hellish history.

"While all of the collectables in my museum have dark and unusual backstories, these items are especially fearsome because of the intense, evil energy they contain," said Bagans. "Their power is scary as hell, and I've never seen anything like it. Eli Roth is a mastermind at authentically evoking this terror and the very real fear brought on by these objects through his incredible visual storytelling. The horror is palpable. This is the scariest thing you will ever watch."

"Never before have I been involved as a producer in a project this scary," added Roth. "I believe this show could go down as one of the scariest anthology horror television shows of all time. I am so excited to bring these terrifying stories to homes in time for Halloween. Season 1 episodes include:

"Dollhouse of the Damned" (Saturday, October 2, 2021): When a recently widowed father brings home an enormous dollhouse as a birthday gift for his teenaged daughter, she quickly rejects the present, sensing there is something "not right" about it. But he quickly falls under its powerful spell. He loses himself within it, using the tiny rooms to stage meticulous recreations of the happiest moments of his life with his wife. Yet all is not well within his own house, as his daughter begins to experience terrifying visions that she fears may be something incredibly evil. Following his discovery of a secret spell hidden within the dollhouse, the father embarks on his most dangerous course of action yet, using the spell and the power contained within the dollhouse in an attempt to raise the spirit of his dead wife. The ritual culminates in a terrifying night that finally reveals the dollhouse's horrifying occupant and its true intentions.

"Monster in the Machine" (Saturday, October 2, 2021): While using special machines designed to communicate with the spirit world, Esther, a misunderstood genius, unlocks a dark gateway between reality and a sinister realm, unintentionally summoning a being of pure evil.

"Chair of the Beast" (Saturday, October 9, 2021): After invading a family home, a terrifying demon possesses the youngest son and claims the family's rocking chair as its own. Desperate for help, they turn to a local priest who must engage in a dangerous battle to drive out the demon and reclaim the boy's soul.

"Helter Skelter Station" (Saturday, October 16, 2021): After receiving a cursed television from America's most infamous cult leader, Charles Manson, a young criminology student begins to slowly lose his grip on reality. Can he resist the dark pull of the TV, or will he succumb to its spell and become the latest "family member" to kill in the cult leader's name?

"Possessed by Peggy" (Saturday, October 23, 2021): A British paranormal investigator faces great danger when she attempts to unravel the mystery surrounding one of the most infamous and dangerous paranormal objects on the planet - a haunted doll with the power to harm anyone who lays eyes on it.

"Tribal Statue Terror" (Saturday, October 30, 2021): A delivery driver, haunted by his past and struggling to provide for his growing family, agrees to transport a strange tribal statue across the country for a large fee. But, as the statue gradually reveals its dark power, his journey descends into a terrifying nightmare.

"The Murder Mirror" (Saturday, November 6, 2021): A young woman attempting to win a scholarship to a prestigious music academy must confront an evil spirit trapped within an old family heirloom.

"Demon Under the Stairs" (Saturday, November 13, 2021): After moving into a rental house in Gary, Indiana, a young mother discovers that the home is already occupied by a terrifying tenant. A sinister presence seems to exist in the basement, one that is keenly interested in her children. She must fight to defend her family from a terrifying demon that has invaded her home and now threatens to possess her three children.

"Curse of the Dybbuk Box" (Saturday, November 20, 2021): A skeptical college professor must re-examine his beliefs and face his greatest fears as he struggles to unravel the mystery surrounding one of the world's most dangerous paranormal artifacts, a cursed antique that contains a terrifying entity hellbent on torturing the living.

Season 2 of THE HAUNTED MUSEUM premiered on Thursday, October 26, 2023 at 10pm ET/PT on Travel Channel. An enthusiast for all things haunted, Zak Bagans has amassed a collection of thousands of curiosities from all over the world, exhibited across a sprawling 30-room, 14,000-square-foot mansion museum. These cursed objects take the spotlight in THE HAUNTED MUSEUM, as Zak Bagans and Eli Roth join forces to tell these scripted stories in a frightening format. Roth, the modern master of horror and creative force behind such films as CABIN FEVER and HOSTEL, along with his accredited team of writers, present the frightful tales behind Bagans' most feared items through innovative and evocative horror shorts. Included among the possessed pieces this season are: a cauldron found in serial killer Ed Gein's home, evil puppets said to possess a person's soul and one of the most terrifying pieces, an ancient, mummified head.

Season 2 episodes include:

"The Cursed Brothel Bed" (Thursday, October 26, 2023 at 10pm): In desperate need of money to pay for her son's medical treatment, a single mother becomes a sex worker at a legal brothel out of state. When a malevolent force attached to her assigned room begins stalking her, she must unravel the mystery before she becomes the entity's next victim. The premiere episode is centered around the famed Bunny Ranch Brothel where Dennis Hof, the deceased owner of the well-known legal bordello, died on the bed that is said to have a sordid and evil history.

"The Devil's Cauldron" (Thursday, November 2, 2023 at 10pm): In this surreal take on the Ed Gein story, a nurse named Jessie inadvertently comes into contact with a cauldron once used by the infamous grave robber and murderer to render the flesh of his victims. When she becomes infected by the evil attached to the cauldron, she begins having terrifying visions and supernatural encounters with a horrifying stranger. As her condition worsens, Jessie descends into a nightmare traversing time and space. Inspired Object From Zak's Museum: After purchasing Ed Gein's cauldron at a Gein estate sale in 1958, Evelyn Mair's family had many negative experiences with the cursed item, forcing them to get rid of it.

"Satanic Six String" (Thursday, November 9, 2023 at 10pm): A troubled teenager stumbles across an old guitar while exploring an abandoned farmhouse. When he plays it, he begins having nightmarish visions of a serial killer who is dead set on continuing his murderous rampage from beyond the grave. Inspired Object From Zak's Museum: This guitar was said to be owned by a 13-year-old boy who was found lying dead on his bed with the guitar draped across him. The seller's online listing mentions black magic, devil worship and more.

"The Evil Puppet Twins" (Thursday, November 16, 2023 at 10pm): After his ailing grandfather dies, teenager Arthur discovers two vintage puppets in his attic. Once released, the puppets begin to haunt the house with evil intent, looking for a new victim to control. Inspired Object From Zak's Museum: A pair of 1800s wooden marionettes with glass eyes that had to be removed from the Carmel Doll Shop in Pacific Grove, California, after a doll collector experienced a series of disturbing events.

"The Stone Face" (Thursday, November 30, 2023 at 10pm): While working at a wealthy art collector's mansion, a young man finds an ancient stone carving with supernatural powers that suck him into a hellish, hallucinatory nightmare. Inspired Object From Zak's Museum: A famous Iron Age carving haunted item Zak bought from the Metamora Museum with suspicions of having an ancient Celtic curse attached.

"Halloween Ritual Coffin" (Thursday, December 7, 2023 at 10pm): A teenager steals a prop coffin on Halloween night unaware that it's cursed with an ancient evil that latches onto him each Halloween after that. Three decades later, Richard has grown into a tormented serial killer who realizes his last option to break the curse involves recruiting help from the coffin's previous owner. Inspired Object Fom Zak's Museum: According to Zak, "This miniature coffin is filled with a human skull, human hair, rattlesnake rattles, etc. I found it in Virginia City, Nevada, at a woman's old storage unit. She told me a family owned it and said it was cursed and to never open it."

"The Witch's Head" (Thursday, December 14, 2023 at 10pm): William, a wealthy collector of antique oddities, acquires an ancient, mummified head for his personal collection. When he inexplicably slips into an unresponsive state, his family soon discovers that they are being haunted by a malicious entity and are left to fend for themselves against an unimaginable evil. Inspired Object From Zak's Museum: One of the most visually terrifying items in Zak's collection, he alleges it belonged to -a Swedish man who was killed for witchcraft in Scotland.

"The Secret Society Skeleton" (Thursday, December 21, 2023 at 10pm): A journalist named Georgia discovers an old 16mm movie buried in the yard of the Gothic mansion she has just moved into. Intrigued, she screens the film, only to be shocked by disturbing images of a secret society's blood rituals. She becomes obsessed with unravelling the mystery and the skeleton they use in their rituals, but when she discovers a secret too frightening to ignore, obsession turns to madness as she becomes possessed by the dark forces surrounding her. Inspired Object From Zak's Museum: Inspired by two skeletons that belonged to an Odd Fellows fraternal society, likely part of initiation rituals that brought recruits face-to-face with their own mortality.
