Plot Synopsis

Two mountain men demonstrate backwoods ingenuity, as they survive the hardscrabble life deep in the mountains of Appalachia in North Carolina. After airing on 3net, Season 1 of HILLBILLY BLOOD made its 2D debut on Destination America on Tuesday, September 18, 2013 at 10pm ET/PT. Seven months later, on Saturday, April 13, 2013 at 10pm ET/PT, Destination America debuted the Season 2 premiere of HILLBILLY BLOOD, with 3net simulcasting the season premiere in 3D. In the new season, Eugene searches for the location of a new rival moonshiner, the boys capture snakes for a traditional mountain Pentecostal church service, and the duo dive for submerged timber left behind by the logging industry a century ago at the bottom of Pirate's Cove Lake. Destination America aired the Season 3 premiere of HILLBILLY BLOOD on Saturday, January 25, 2014 at 9pm ET/PT, showing back-to-back new episodes. In the season opener, Spencer and Eugene hunted for gold with their friend Cowboy, carrying him on a homemade hillbilly rickshaw. In the night's second episode, the boys tried to harvest half a pound of ginseng to trade for Eugene's truck down payment, but a poacher foiled their plans. HILLBILLY BLOOD returned for a new season on Saturday, August 9, 2014 from 9-10pm ET/PT on Destination America, as Eugene and Two Dogs continued to use their vast knowledge and passion for the wilderness to teach others how to produce and build items best to subsist in the backwoods using the greatest tools known to man: your own two hands.

On Saturday, May 2, 2015 at 9pm ET/PT, Destination America premiered a new season of HILLBILLY BLOOD, showing back-to-back new episodes. In the season opener, "Cowboy Prepper," Cowboy is sure that end days are on the way, so he asks Eugene and Spencer to fortify his compound. The boys construct a wood still for converting wood matter into fuel, out of an old barrel, some buckets and pipes, so Cowboy has fuel no matter what. Then, in the second episode, "Treasure Hunt," Cowboy convinces Eugene and Spencer to mount a new gold hunting expedition to the legendary secret Lost Creek. But when they can't shake an interloper, can the boys use trickery to keep Lost Creek secret? And can they still make their expedition pay?
