In this series, HOME TOWN's Ben and Erin Napier leave Laurel, Mississippi to perform a whole-town makeover. Each season focuses on a different town.

Season 1 showcases 12 major renovations all over Wetumpka, Alabama, including restaurants, shops, historic homes, public spaces, a new farmers' market -- and even an entire downtown street -- with the goal that the impact will ripple through the community for generations to come. Plus, HOME TOWN TAKEOVER features celebrity guests who lend their talents to the town's overhaul. These include: Grammy Award winning, music megastar Sheryl Crow who will dazzle fans with an intimate main street concert; Eddie Jackson (Food Network and Cooking Channel Host); Randy Fenoli (TLC's SAY YES TO THE DRESS); popular HGTV stars Tamara Day (BARGAIN MANSIONS); Steve Ford (HOME AGAIN WITH THE FORDS); Wendell Holland (HOT MESS HOUSE); Dave and Jenny Marrs (FIXER TO FABULOUS); Ty Pennington (ROCK THE BLOCK); Jasmine Roth (HELP! I WRECKED MY HOUSE); Mina Starsiak Hawk (GOOD BONES); and Jon-Pierre and Mary Tjon-Joe-Pin (TWO STEPS HOME). After receiving a deluge of 5,000 submissions, representing 2,600 towns from around the country, HGTV selected Wetumpka because, despite hardships, natural disasters and unexpected setbacks, the community's undying spirit and resilience showed that they were ready to kickstart a comeback with HGTV's help

Season 2 of HOME TOWN TAKEOVER debuted on Sunday, April 23, 2023 at 8pm ET/PT on HGTV. In the six-episode new season, Ben and Erin Napier (HOME TOWN) and Dave and Jenny Marrs (FIXER TO FABULOUS) head to Fort Morgan, Colorado, for its next whole-town renovation, as they mobilize 10 all-star HGTV and Food Network talent to help complete 18 renovation projects across homes, local businesses and public spaces. The goal for the renovations, which range from refreshing a local bowling alley and revitalizing a public park to sprucing up the downtown business district and updating homes of local heroes, will be to amplify the town's charm, build community pride and catapult Fort Morgan into a new era of limitless potential. The duos, whose quaint hometowns of Laurel, Miss., and Bentonville, Ark., are prominently featured in their respective HGTV series, will kick-off the Fort Morgan revitalization by surprising residents with their plan to execute multiple projects in just four months. Dave and Jenny's first mission, with help from HGTV star Jonathan Knight (FARMHOUSE FIXER), will include a home upgrade for a single mom who provides equine therapy to locals at her ranch. Jonathan also will join Dave to install new seating at a popular coffee shop, as well as invite Food Network star Molly Yeh (GIRL MEETS FARM) along to help create a new menu item. In addition, Ben and Erin will enlist local artists to give Main Street a refresh with an installation of two large murals that celebrate the town's past and future. Additional expert guests from Food Network and HGTV lending a hand during the six-episode run are: Ben and Cristi Dozier (BUILDING ROOTS); Darnell Ferguson (SUPERCHEF GRUDGE MATCH); Carmeon Hamilton (RENO MY RENTAL); Lil Jon (LIL JON WANTS TO DO WHAT?); Ty Pennington (ROCK THE BLOCK); Jasmine Roth (HELP! In the season opener, "Meet Fort Morgan," the Napiers and the Marrs kick off the revitalization of Fort Morgan, Colorado, with the goal to transform 18 projects in just four months. Their first mission is to lift up the people that help the community, and the downtown area also gets a refresh.
