Plot Synopsis

Bryan Baeumler demolishes his family's 1,000 square foot bungalow and replaces it with a 4,000 square-foot dream home. With the help of skilled professionals, keen apprentices, some surprise visitors, and his family, he's able to complete the job in six months despite multiple delays -- everything from miscalculating the total amount of waste removal to obtaining proper building permits. At the same time, Bryan is mentoring a new apprentice and struggling to keep his wife Sarah's lofty housing ambitions to a minimum. HGTV Canada aired an encore of the series, which ended on Thursday, September 30, 2010 at 9pm, and only days later HGTV aired the U.S. premiere of the series on Sunday, October 3, 2010 at 10:30am ET/PT.

DIY Network aired the U.S. premiere of the second season, titles HOUSE OF BRYAN: ON THE ROCKS, on Sunday, October 6, 2013 at 9pm ET/PT. In the new season, Bryan builds a cottage retreat on Ontario's Georgian Bay.
