Plot Synopsis

Hosted by Howie Mandel, this annual primetime comedy special is recorded at the biggest comedy event in the world, the Just For Laughs Festival in Montreal, and showcases the festival's best performances.

JUST FOR LAUGHS STARRING HOWIE MANDEL (broadcast in January 2016): Stand-up performances by Jeff Ross, Pete Holmes, Jim Breuer, Fortune Feimster, Vladimir Caamano and Marina Franklin. The 90-minute special also includes moments from the festival over the past 30 years, featuring Joan Rivers, Jon Stewart and Eddie Izzard.

HOWIE MANDEL ALL-STAR COMEDY GALA (broadcast in January 2017): Stand-up performances by Jay Pharoah, Iliza Shlesinger, Russell Peters, JB Smoove, Alonzo Bodden, Jo Koy, Matt Donaher, Ryan Hamilton, Gina Brillon, and Tom Papa. Plus, the two-hour special includes comedians paying tribute to some of their favorite comedians from the festival over the past 34 years, such as Amy Schumer, Jim Gaffigan and Wanda Sykes.

THE 3rd ANNUAL HOWIE MANDEL STAND-UP GALA premiered on Wednesday, January 10, 2018 from 8-9:30pm ET/PT on The CW. This 90-minute special features stand-up performances from comedians including Cedric the Entertainer, Cristela Alonzo, Ron Funches, Orny Adams, Gad Elmaleh, John Heffron, Martin Urbano, and Gina Yashere.

The CW premiered the 4th ANNUAL HOWIE MANDEL STAND-UP GALA on Thursday, December 20, 2018 from 8-10pm ET/PT. The two-hour special, recorded at the Just For Laughs Festival in Montreal, features stand-up performances from some of the hottest comedians today including Amanda Seales, Maz Jobrani, Lil Rel Howery, Laurie Kimlartin, Garfunkel & Oates, and many others.
