Plot Synopsis

Using re-creations, archival footage and photos, and in-depth interviews with family, friends and authorities, I'D KILL FOR YOU profiles men and women who go to deadly lengths to win their lover's affection. Whether they're after the inheritance of their elderly husband, have their eyes set on a younger model, or are trying to stake claim to their partner's life insurance, these men and women stop at nothing to live their own happily ever -- even if it means a tragic never after for someone else. Each one-hour episode of this series chronicles the case of an ill-fated relationship, including: a twisted threesome in Missouri, in which Shayne Mills fell in love with Kelly Lovera, and then, after getting married, juggles having a husband and a boyfriend in her apartment complex; Werner Hartman, a self-made millionaire in Chicago, who married Debra Stover but became jealous when a young tennis pro, John Korabik, entered the picture; Mel Dyson, who rekindled a romance with Dixie Ann after they separated, but the spark quickly disappeared when evil was lurking in the darkness nearby; high-school athletic director Glynn "Gabby" Moore, whose proteges, like Angelo Pleasant and Morris Blankenbaker, remained loyal friends, but their devotion was tested when they were unexpectedly drawn into the strange life of their beloved mentor; Sharee Miller, the wife of a violent mobster, who had an affair with married man Jerry Cassady and was pregnant with Jerry's baby when her husband learned of her deliance; and many more stories of people who went too far in the name of love. On Saturday, December 6, 2014 at 10pm ET/PT, Investigation Discovery premiered the second season of I'D KILL FOR YOU. In the season opener, "All Work and No Play," a distressing 911 call brings police to the scene of what looks like a tragic accident in the home of Robert Breininger. But soon a cunning plot of master manipulation starts to unravel leaving detectives with the most inconceivable of suspects.

Season 3 of I'D KILL FOR YOU premiered on Saturday, January 9, 2016 at 10pm ET/PT on Investigation Discovery, immediately following back-to-back encore episodes (8-10pm). In the season opener, "A Shotgun Affair," Lori thinks she's found Mr. Right in rugged Gary Knepp. Lori's friend Lisa agrees and lures Gary into a steamy affair. Things get more complicated when Gary meets irresistible Carol. Their tryst sparks a war among friends that ends badly.
