Plot Synopsis

Fifteen-year-old Tripp Campbell wins a radio contest to have dinner with his favorite rock band, Iron Weasel -- a trio of rock-star misfits whose stars have fallen so far that their nationwide tour only had three gigs. Not only does he meet the band, but he impresses them with his Hendrix-esque guitar skills and they consider him for lead guitar. Even though the band mates initially scoff at the idea of having a kid in the band for fear of losing their cool, edgy appeal, they quickly reconsider when they realize they can't even afford their own housing and Tripp offers to let them move into his house with his divorced mom, Beth. In their own wacky way, the band will try to mentor Tripp through his high school years with the goal of turning him into a bona fide rock star in the process. Iron Weasel is made up of three middle-aged stooges: cocky lead singer, Derek Jupiter; ever cheerful and rambunctious bassist, Burger Pitt; and the lovable but simple-minded drummer, Ash. Tripp's best friend is Izzy Fuentes, an aspiring singer who will try to keep him grounded and out of trouble. Disney XD aired a sneak peak of the program on Friday, November 27, 2009 at 6:45PM, and the series will premiere on January 18, 2010 at 7PM.
