Plot Synopsis

Using hidden cameras and their exclusive access, Mariana van Zeller and Darren Foster, a wife-and-husband team of award-winning investigative journalists, penetrate America's underground networks and explore the nation's most controversial issues, from guns to drugs to the paranormal. Each 60-minute episode features a single topic, such as: "Bath Salts," as the duo chronicles the synthetic drug craze, reporting from the South and San Diego, where the law can't keep up because the chemicals used are constantly changing; "Armed and Undercover," during which the pair visits a gun-enthusiast community in Arizona and Van Zeller and a private investigator purchase an AK-47 assault rifle in a fast-food parking lot within an hour of making contact with the seller; "American Sex Slave," as Van Zeller and Foster uncover the truth behind the salacious sex trade, focusing on the men who buy and sell women in order to work them on the streets; "Animal Undercover," as Van Zeller and Foster meet with covert animal activists who lead hidden-camera exposes that have resulted in increased scrutiny of slaughterhouses, farms and research labs; and more issues like "Hollywood Homeless."
