Plot Synopsis

INVASION follows four hosts as they hunt invasive species in different regions of the United States, trying to capture these killers before it's too late. Each 60-minute episode features a different American location, including Florida (filmed in January 2013), where the team travels to the Everglades to capture a giant Burmese python, Cape Coral to search for the Nile Monitor, and the streets of Miami, where a tiny African snail is slowly destroying crops; and Texas (filmed in February 2013), where the team travels to Waco to capture wild pigs by using a net gun from a helicopter and the newly opened fastest road in America, which has seen a steady stream of pig-related accidents since its construction. The four hosts are: Karl Malcom (aka The Professor), who has a vast knowledge of wildlife ecology and conversation; hunter Jana Waller, who is a host of SKULL BOUND TV on the Sportsman Channel; hunter Benny Spies, who is host of GUN IT WITH BENNY SPIES on NBC Sports (formerly known as Versus when the series premiered); trapper Trent Jackson, who is a host of HILLYBILLY HANDFISHIN' on Animal Planet. As part of its 2013 MONSTER WEEK, Animal Planet aired two back-to-back episodes of this program on Friday, May 24, 2013 at 7pm ET/PT. At that time, Animal Planet had no additional episodes on its schedule, and based on ratings and viewer response, would decide during the subsequent month whether to pick up the program as a full series.
