Plot Synopsis

Patrick Raymond and Steve Greenberg travel around America, looking for the next million-dollar kitchen invention to pitch to the nation's top manufacturer of housewares. These two invention scouts search for any type of new food-related products -- growing, processing, storing, serving, disposing, etc. -- and find prototypes for patent-pending gadgets like the ice huggy, wine balloon and buffet bowl. In each 30-minute episode, they come across three home inventors who each believe they have a million-dollar kitchen gadget. After Steve and Patrick put the inventions to the test, they choose one to bring to buyers in the retail manufacturing world. Raymond is former Executive Director of The United Inventors Association of the USA and a contest judge for the Inventors Club of Kansas City. Greenberg, The Innovation Insider, is the author of the book "Gadget Nation." Food Network aired the 30-minute pilot episode, titled KITCHEN INVENTORS, on Friday, November 11, 2011 at 8:30pm ET. Six months later -- and with a new title, INVENTION HUNTERS -- Food Network aired a sneak-peek episode on Sunday, May 13, 2012 at 11pm ET, followed by the official series premiere the next day, May 14, 2012 at 9pm ET.
