Plot Synopsis

James Patterson has partnered with Investigation Discovery for a series of books, each to be published shortly after the related true-crime TV series debuts. This installment, JAMES PATTERSON'S MURDER THY NEIGHBOR, premiered on Saturday, September 12, 2020 from 8-11pm ET/PT, as the cable channel debuted three back-to-back episodes:

"Catfish Killer" (8pm): When an attraction isn't mutual, a woman is ostracized and threatened. A shadowy figure guides her and her family into a dark plot with a twisted ending no one saw coming.

"The Wrath of Love" (9pm): Caught between the woman he loves and his mistress who refuses to let go. Jealousy, obsession, and a surprise engagement leads to a dead end.

"Tunnel of Hate" (10pm): New neighbors both intend to restore their run down homes to their former glory. When one of the renovations falls badly behind, it leads to conflict and murder.

James Patterson's book, "Murder Thy Neighbor," was released three days later on Tuesday, September 15, 2020.
