Plot Synopsis
This half-hour mockumentary follows Ja'mie King during her last few months of school as a conniving Year 12 student at Hillford Girls Grammar School in Sydney, Australia, including her academic and charity work, social life, and relationships with family. Returning from her exchange semester at a public school, Summer Heights High, Ja'mie reclaims her place as the unchallenged diva among the private school's most popular girls, as well as the school captain, but her callous manipulations begin to wear thin as a few brave girls start to challenge her reign. During her last three months at Hillford, she continues to diss the boarders, and she turns her attention to conquering members of the opposite sex enrolled nearby at Kelton Boys Grammar. Plus, she finds herself in a number of jams that incite the wrath of school officials and her parents, but she also has an overriding goal to win the Hillford Medal. JA'MIE: PRIVATE SCHOOL GIRL was created, written by, and executive produced by Chris Lilley. One month after this series debuted on Australia's ABC1, HBO aired the U.S. premiere on Sunday, November 24, 2013 at 10:30pm ET/PT.
