Plot Synopsis

JAPANIZI: GOING, GOING, GONG! is a Japanese-styled family game show, during which contestants attempt to survive three elimination rounds of conveyor belts, dizzy chairs, giant fans, Velcro walls, and so much more physical humor and slapstick mayhem. In each 30-minute episode, four teams of two contestants are initially dropped into the game, as they compete in three rounds of over-the-top stunts. During each competition, Judge Masa shouts at the top of his lungs to the contestants, but he only speaks Japanese. The masked Shinobi acts as Masa's translator, helping the contestants, but Shinobi also controls four Ninjas, who try their best to prevent contestants from winning. At the end of each round, Masa decides who moves on to the next round and who goes home. After three rounds, only one pair of competitors remains, and they are crowned as champions. Competitions include events, like: teams wearing Velcro costumes and then jumping against a sticky wall, hoping to stay off the ground; players trying to kick soccer balls into a net, while wearing goggles that distort their vision; one contestant from each team riding a bicycle on a conveyor belt, trying to hit a buzzer with their head; competitors jumping from one slippery spinning disk to another, like a frog jumping on lily pads; contestants running on a conveyor belt, attempting to serve cups of tea to guests at a tea party; and many more zany events. One day before the series premiered on Disney XD, YTV (Canada) aired a sneak-peek episode of JAPANIZI on Sunday, November 3, 2013 at 8:15pm ET/PT. YTV presented the official Canadian series premiere on Tuesday, November 5, 2013 at 6pm ET/PT, when JAPANIZI moved to its regular day and time.
