Plot Synopsis

This half-hour scripted series centers on a fictionalized version of Jean-Claude Van Damme, a global martial arts and film sensation who retired as the world's most dangerous undercover private contractor, known simply by his alias, "Johnson." But now he's coming out of retirement after a chance encounter with Vanessa, his former hairdresser/right-hand woman. Despite his lingering self-doubt, JCVD quickly rediscovers his comfort zone both on set and in the field... for a day, at least. Then he messes everything up, which sets the tone for the series as JCVD bungles each operation. On August 19, 2016 at 3:01am ET/12:01am PT, Amazon released the series pilot. Sixteen months later -- on Friday, December 15, 2017 -- at 3:01am ET/12:01am PT, Amazon released the entire six-episode first season, which includes the previously released pilot. In the first new episode, "What Year Do You Think This Is?," after Vanessa expresses her displeasure with his botched assignment, JCVD redoubles his efforts to complete the job, infiltrating a local street race... where he messes everything up. Again. Lucky for him, Vanessa has discovered that drugs are just the tip of the iceberg, and she's going to need all the help she can get... even if it's JCVD's.
