Plot Synopsis
Executive produced by Cedric the Entertainer, JOHNSON is a half-hour scripted series that centers on four life-long best friends in Atlanta -- all of whom share the same last name (Johnson). Omar, Greg, Keith and Jarvis Johnson (no relation) met in grade school and have been best friends ever since. After 25 years of friendship, they find themselves in vastly different places in their lives, threatening the unity that has always been so strong. They confront and find humor in the most current controversial social issues from the Black Man's perspective, ranging from love, marriage, business, politics and religion. JOHNSON debuted on Sunday, August 1, 2021 from 8-9pm ET, as Bounce TV premiered back-to-back episodes. In the series opener,"Brotherly Love" (8pm), Omar, Greg, Keith and Jarvis Johnson have a guys night out that doesn't go exactly as planned. They run into popular radio host Eugene Johnson in a bar who gives them relationship advice. Keith flaunts his new crush Bianca and is challenged by the guys to test her loyalty by letting Omar send her a private message. Then, in the second episode, "Opposites Attract" (8:30pm), Lisa forces Jarvis to have a dinner date with their friends Kevin and Karen. Omar, Greg and Keith hang out at a lounge where musical artist Emi Seacrest performs. Omar reveals to Greg that he received an unexpected phone call last night.
The sophomore season of JOHNSON debuted on Sunday, July 10, 2022 at 8pm ET/PT on Bounce TV. A couple of months have passed since the fellas had the fallout at the art gallery. This season, there are more dating adventures of four best friends and the related challenges they face while confronting and finding humor in the most current controversial social issues from the Black man's perspective, ranging from love and marriage to business, politics, and religion. In the season opener, "Olive Branch," Greg and Jarvis try to convince Omar to finally patch things up with Keith. Sparks fly when Keith runs into Jackee at a record store while Jarvis reconnects with his old assistant Danni during a protest against his arrest. Uncle Eugene hosts the guys at his new cigar lounge until Omar receives some alarming news.
Season 3 of JOHNSON premiered with back-to-back episodes on Saturday, August 5, 2023 from 8-9pm ET on Bounce TV. In the season opener, "Warm Welcome" (8pm), Omar learns some shocking information about Bianca. Greg gets out hustled by an unwanted house guest. Keith notices his neighborhood is changing and blames his local councilman while Jarvis visits the man who claims to be his father. Guest stars: L. Warren Young, Kal-El White, Tahir Moore. Then, in the second episode, "Who's Who" (8:30pm), Omar, Greg, Keith and Jarvis attend the Annual Quintessential Gentleman's mixer. Keith ruins the vibe when he confronts his local councilman over his rising rent. Guest stars: Cedric the Entertainer, Stephen Jackson, Terrence "TC" Carson.
The fourth season of JOHNSON debuted on Saturday, August 3, 2024 on Bounce TV with back-to-back new episodes from 8-9pm ET. The series is a journey of love, self-discovery, and brotherhood, touching on hot-button topics including race, mental health, classism and the ever-evolving relationship dynamics between men and women -- themes that will continue to be prominent in the new season ahead. In the season opener, "Southern Gents" (8pm), the Johnson men are fitted for Keith's upcoming wedding and are urged to bring a date. Jarvis is suspicious of his new clients' low appraisal. Greg is promoted to Sous-Chef at Georgia Bistro while Jarvis realizes just how ghetto the dating market really is. Savannah Cristina performs live. Then, in the second episode, "Hardly Working" (8:30pm), Omar realizes he might need some extra help around the office while Greg meets his new mentee, Darius. Jarvis deals with the aftermath of his robbery and Eugene's message on his radio show resonates with Omar.

On Saturday, October 5, 2024 at 8pm ET, Bounce TV premiered "Inside Job," the Season 4 finale of JOHNSON. Naomi gets marriage advice from Lynette Sampson that doesn't sit well with Omar. Jarvis finds out who's responsible for the fraud on his credit report and Omar's fight with Stephen comes back to haunt him.
