Plot Synopsis

Executive produced by legendary comedy writer and director Larry Charles, this one-hour reality series follows Charles as he visits visits war zones and repressive regimes all around the world to explore the vast depths and varying definitions of comedy in different cultures. From Russia, China, India, Iran, Nigeria, Turkey and more, Charles travels to the unlikeliest of places and speaks to the unlikeliest of comedians to unearth just how dangerous and how meaningful the world world of comedy can be. On Friday, February 15, 2018 at 3:01am ET/12:01am PT, Netflix released the four-episode first season of LARRY CHARLES' DANGEROUS WORLD OF COMEDY.
