Plot Synopsis

Comprised entirely of firsthand footage pulled directly from body cameras and CCTV (closed-circuit television) footage, LATE NIGHT LOCKUP is a half-hour docuseries that reveals the commotion that transpires when police officers pull graveyard shifts. From drunken disorderly conduct to shocking acts of aggression, this series chronicles the peculiar and outrageous happenings that law enforcement encounters as nighttime creeps into the early hours of the morning. LATE NIGHT LOCKUP premiered with back-to-back episodes on Tuesday, June 3, 2023 from 10-11pm ET/PT on Investigation Discovery.

Season 2 of LATE NIGHT LOCKUP debuted on Tuesday, June 25, 2024 with back-to-back new episodes from 10-11pm ET/PT on Investigation Discovery. When the sun sets, the strangest suspects pass through police stations, and officers encounter their weirdest and wildest behavior. Direct access to body cams and CCTV takes viewers along for the ride with police who must deal with insanity after dark. In the season opener, "Terminally Stupid" (10pm), a passenger goes on the rampage with a fire extinguisher at Atlanta's international airport; in Illinois, police pull over an erratic driver who nearly causes a deadly pile up; In Texas, cops discover a giant python underneath a car. Then, in the second episode, "Pigs on the Highway" (10:30pm), a man, barred from a bar and gas station, refuses to accept he is no longer allowed to return; a big rig accident causes mayhem when cargo scatters across the highway; a drunk driver involved in a crash tries to employ her local celebrity status.
