Plot Synopsis

Alan Cartwright is a car dealer with a difference. He gets up when he wants and refuses to follow the crowd in everything he does. He may be hard-up but he only buys cars that "float his boat," and if they don't sell, he keeps them, modifies them or destroys them. He and his friend Nick look for the weird, wonderful and under-priced while looking for the next project. LAZY CAR DEALER debuted on Wednesday, December 29, 2021 on MotorTrendOnDemand.com and the MotorTrend+ app. One day later, LAZY CAR DEALER made its linear television debut on MotorTrend on Thursday, December 30, 2021 at 10pm ET/PT. In the series opener, "Overgrown Vauxhall Calibra Sale," a friend has an ancient Vauxhall Calibra that is covered in brambles, and Alan agrees to buy it for 150 pounds without seeing it. The car is in a poor state and, even worse, it's full of spiders, which Alan is afraid of. And that's just one of many issues they face getting this car read for a buyer.
