Plot Synopsis

LEGENDS OF CHIMA is a half-hour animated series that tells the story of the Chima Kingdom, a magical land ruled by very advanced animal tribes. These creatures walk and talk like humans. They drive vehicles, use machinery and live in amazing castles and fortresses, but still have claws, teeth, tails and/or wings. And right now, they battle each other. The Chima Kingdom that was once a pure and natural paradise has transformed into a land of unrest. Best friends, Laval the Lion and Cragger the Crocodile, turned into enemies. Animal tribes are fighting over the possession of the super-powerful natural energy-source called CHI, which is the source of life and has the potential for unimaginable destruction. Before the official series premiere on Wednesday, July 10, 2013 at 8pm ET/PT, Cartoon Network aired back-to-back special episodes on Wednesday, January 16, 2013 at 7:30pm ET/PT, followed by a third special episode on Wednesday, March 27, 2013 at 8pm ET/PT.
LEGENDS OF CHIMA returned for its second season on Saturday, March 15, 2014, at 9:30am ET/PT on Cartoon Network, with Chima in crisis. The CHI-filled waters of Mount Cavora stopped flowing, depriving the Tribes of their main energy source and causing all of nature to be out of balance. Plus, a mysterious Black Cloud from the Outlands continues to threaten the land. But there is good news, the Tribes have agreed to put aside their differences and work together to save Chima. They have formed a team of heroes, consisting of the most prominent youths from each of the eight main Tribes.
