Plot Synopsis

Executive produced by series stars George Lopez and his daughter, Mayan Lopez, LOPEZ VS. LOPEZ is a half-hour working-class family comedy series about dysfunction, reconnection and all the pain and joy in between. This comedy series tells the story of a working-class old-school Latino who moves in with his modern Gen Z daughter as they rebuild their dysfunctional relationship one argument at a time. It's old vs. new, father vs. daughter, Lopez vs. Lopez. In the series opener, when Mayan deals with a difficult client at work, George teaches her how to handle her the Lopez way. After a three-week break, LOPEZ VS. LOPEZ returned with new episodes on Thursday, January 6, 2023 at 8pm ET/PT on NBC. In the winter premiere, "Lopez vs Ghosts," when the Lopez home is disturbed by an evil spirit, the family enlists a curandero (guest star Cheech Marin) who tells them the house isn't haunted, it's George! The ghost of his grandmother (guest star Rita Moreno) is hell-bent on righting a past wrong and will keep throwing chanclas at his big head until he does it. On Tuesday, April 25, 2023 at 8:30pm ET/PT, LOPEZ VS. LOPEZ moved to its new night and time -- Tuesdays at 8:30pm -- for the remainder of its first season. In tonight's episode, "Lopez vs Corte Caliente," there's no order in the court when George and Rosie ask a TV judge to resolve their dispute. Mayan and Quinten enroll Chance in Folklorico dance classes.

On Tuesday, April 2, 2024, LOPEZ VS. LOPEZ returns for its second season with back-to-back new episodes from 8-9pm ET/PT on NBC. Guests for Season 2 include: Gabriel Iglesias as Iggy, George's fun-loving, jort-wearing, oversharing AA sponsor ("Lopez vs Sobriety"); Diana Maria Riva as Olga, a tough negotiator known for selling the best knock-off TVs at the local swap meet ("Lopez vs Swap Meet"); Marshawn Lynch as Marshawn, a brutally honest sideline reporter with big, infectious energy who brings hot takes on everything, from busted coverage on the field to busted faces in the stands ("Lopez vs Raider Nation"); Cheech Marin, who returns to the show as Carlos the Curandero, a spiritual healer who's all about the "oms, holmes" ("Lopez vs Let it Go"); Tommy Chong as Bryan, a guy who's been waking and baking since 1978 ("Lopez vs Let it Go"); and Jaime Camil, who recurs as Josue Consuelos, a charming personal injury attorney whose face is on billboards all over Los Angeles (1st appearance in "Lopez vs Raider Nation").

Season 3 of LOPEZ VS. LOPEZ debuted on Friday, October 18, 2024 at 8:30pm ET/PT on NBC. The laughs and family spats continue this season as Mayan and Quinten try to take control of their wedding plans. George continues to deal with his sobriety and the realities of getting older, neither of which he does gracefully. Rosie isn't shy about voicing her opinions about the wedding and silently deals with the aftermath of her near marriage to Josue. Chance begins to rebel against his parents now that he's a strong, independent 9-year-old. The whole Lopez familia is back and ready to live life to its fullest -- loving, crying and everything in between. Season 3 guest stars include: Vicki Lawrence as Ruthie Van Bryan and Stephen Tobolowsky as Sam, who come to celebrate their son's upcoming wedding to Mayan; Francia Raisa as Carina; Rizwan Manji as Crispin; Adam Irigoyen as Orlando, Rosie's spoiled nephew; Annie Gonzalez; and more.

In the season opener, "Lopez vs Wedding," Mayan and Quinten refuse to let George and Rosie hijack their vision for the upcoming wedding, even if they have no idea what that vision is; Oscar teaches Chance how to be the best "best man."
