Plot Synopsis

Narrated by Octavia Spencer, LOST WOMEN OF HIGHWAY 20 is a three-part documentary that begins with the disappearance of a 13-year-old Rachanda Pickle. When Rachanda disappears in 1990, detectives discover a trail of missing and murdered women along a ghostly stretch of Oregon's US Highway 20 that goes back for decades, leading them to a killer who has been hiding in plain sight. All three episodes of LOST WOMEN OF HIGHWAY 20 debuted consecutively from 9pm-Midnight ET/PT on Sunday, November 5, 2023 on Investigation Discovery:

"Vanished" (9pm): When 13-year-old Rachanda Pickle goes missing, suspicion falls on her father who has a dark past.

"Hidden in Plain Sight" (10pm): Detectives discover that Rachanda's disappearance connects to other crimes buried in Oregon's wilderness; they must close in on a suspect who has evaded justice for decades, but he is always one step ahead.

"Tip of the Iceberg" (11pm): Detectives are close to nabbing their suspect, but he is already closing in on new victims; when justice comes, it reveals that previous horrors may only be the tip of the iceberg; a journalist fights to bring the truth to light.
