Plot Synopsis

Antiques dealer Jean White is nearly bankrupt after the sudden death of her husband Rory, and so she heads to their one last asset: a cottage in antiques hub Sainte Victoire, France. But when she arrives to sell the place, she discovers Rory had been having an affair and that a valuable ring is missing. Jean begins to suspect foul play. Jean learns from police chief Caron that her ring has been sent away as evidence, and that there is little they can do about the threats from Rory's mistress...so she begins investigating his death, aided by sympathetic taxi driver Dom. She soon finds the colorful locals have a treasure trove of other mysteries for her to assess, too, like when she's asked to look into an elderly woman's mystery dating back to the Nazi occupation of France. Created and co-written by series star Sally Lindsay, MADAME BLANC MYSTERIES made its U.S. debut on Monday, November 15, 2021, as Acorn TV released the first two episodes. A new episode debuts each Monday through December 13.

On Monday, December 26, 2022, the Season 2 holiday episode made its U.S. debut on Acorn TV. It's Christmas in beautiful Sainte Victoire, and Jean is excited to spend it with her new friends. But when the wife of police chief Andre Caron is brutally murdered, the finger points squarely at him. Caron begs Jean to clear his name, and the case takes her into the world of international art dealing, where all is not what it seems. Can Jean save Caron and bring the real murderer to justice?

The remaining Season 2 episodes of THE MADAME BLANC MYSTERIES made their U.S. debut on Acorn TV beginning on Monday, February 20, 2023, as the streaming service released two episodes. Two more episodes drop on February 27, with the season finale premiering on March 6. After he has too many drinks with the boys, Judith orders Jeremy to sleep on their cruiser. The next morning, he clambers out of the cabin and trips over the dead body of a young woman! Caron's only clue is a Victorian comb in her pocket. Jean quickly realizes that it's a cake comb -- but why would that be there? Can Jean figure out who the woman is and get Jeremy back into Judith's good graces? Jean takes center stage to uncover a deadly family drama played out over decades at the Sainte Victoire Theatre. In 1974 an actress was killed in her dressing room, and, in the current day, a wake is held for Anna Dumonet, a leading light of the stage. Afterwards, Anna's daughter asks Jean to help find out the truth about her mother and solve crimes both past and present.

On Monday, December 25, 2023, Acorn TV released a new "Christmas" episode of THE MADAME BLANC MYSTERIES. The special serves as the first episode in the series' seven-episode third season. Season 3 will pick back up in February 2024. In the all-new Christmas Special, eccentric married couple and manor owners Judith Lloyd James and Jeremy Lloyd James have arranged for Jean, local taxi driver Dom Hayes, Chief of Police Andre Caron, and Gloria Beaushaw to attend a murder mystery night at an old friend's hotel. Judith explains that the hotel has a spooky history. A terrible storm starts, and heavy rain pounds the isolated hotel. During the evening, the murder mystery becomes a night of actual murder as someone is killed. With several suspects trapped together in the hotel, can Jean find who is responsible and discover who the killer is? Will this answer the mystery to the ghostly goings on at Hotel Sanguinet?

The remaining Season 3 episodes of MADAME BLANC MYSTERIES began their U.S. debut on Monday, February 19, 2024 on Acorn TV, which released two additional episodes. A new installment drops weekly on Mondays through March 18. This season sees Jean solving new mysteries, ranging from a deep-sea diving mishap to a historical duel, alongside her friend -- and flirting partner -- Dom. In the first new episode, "Ocean," when a member of a marine exploration group suffers a cardiac arrest while searching the seabed, Caron enlists Jean's help to investigate whether the team of scientists were really combing for minerals-or looking for buried treasure.

On Monday, March 18, 2024, Acorn TV released "Windows," the Season 3 finale of MADAME BLANC MYSTERIES. To collect on a 30-year-old gambling debt, a gangster named Sonny threatens to pay Uncle Patrick a visit in Saint Victoire. To save Patrick, Jean must solve a riddle and unlock a rare treasure.
