Plot Synopsis

Established music artists mentor 12 young performers in this non-elimination competition series as the contestants vie for the grand prize -- a recording deal with the RCA/Jive Label Group and an opportunity to be featured in a cross-country concert tour. Among the musical artists scheduled to be mentors ("Majors") are: Jennifer Hudson, will.i.am, Adam Lambert, Brandy, Leona Lewis, Colbie Caillat, Avril Lavigne, Sean Kingston, Jordin Sparks, Claude Kelly, OneRepublic's Ryan Tedder and Mike Posner.
