Plot Synopsis
Based on the best-selling book series by Charlaine Harris, MIDNIGHT, TEXAS is a one-hour supernatural thriller that centers on Manfred Bernardo, a powerful psychic who can communicate with spirits. When he decides to hide out in the sleepy town of Midnight, TX, he discovers this sleepy community is a mysterious safe haven for outsiders with secrets -- both supernatural and human. Midnight is also home to: Bobo, proprietor of Midnight's local pawn shop; Fiji, a witch who owns the local wiccan shop; Olivia, a mysterious assassin with a weapon for every occasion; Joe, an angel who knows all of Midnight's secrets having been around for millennia; Lemuel, a wise vampire with a long history in Midnight; Creek, an aspiring writer with big dreams; and Rev. Emilio Sheehan, who can't resist the pull of a full moon. In addition to the colorful residents, Manfred learns the town itself sits on a veil between the living and dead. He pledges to join the Midnighters in the fight to protect their home from suspicious cops and other outside forces. Season 2 of MIDNIGHT, TEXAS premieres Friday, October 26, 2018 at 9pm ET/PT on NBC. Guest stars for the second season include: Michael Harney as Philip Charity, Olivia's estranged father, who seems like the perfect all-American dad, but is actually bitterly estranged from Olivia, whom he abandoned when she was just 9 years old; Mindy Sterling as Kiva Goldwater, a gypsy shaman with a smoker's voice and a bedazzled eye patch covering her missing eye, who is an expert when it comes to curses; Adam Langdon as Basil, an affable, geeky pizza delivery boy with a deep appreciation for the Rubik's cube...and a dark secret; Jasmine Cephas Jones as Addie, a devotee and member of the Delilahs who stands out among her peers; Jaime Murray as Delilah, the original White Witch; Nick Lee as Theophilus. In the season opener, "Head Games," The Midnighters finally settle into a semblance of normality after shutting the veil to hell -- until the opening of a new hotel rocks their stability once again. Manfred deals with the consequences of taking-in six demons. Joe makes a new friend.
