THE MISSING EVIDENCE investigates the testimonies and evidence that support some of the world's most notorious conspiracy theories. By sourcing new documents and using cutting-edge technology and analytics, the series examines data and eyewitness accounts in search of the missing evidence that might finally separate reality from mystery. Each 60-minute episode focuses on a different mystery, including: the death of Marilyn Monroe, revealing the shocking content of the lost tapes recorded inside Marilyn's house on the day she died; the Twin Towers, looking at some ideas that dispute the official findings into the events of September 11, 2001; Jack The Ripper, exploring whether Christer Holmgren discovered the killer's identity; Loch Ness Monster, investigating whether the monster really exists; the Nevada Triangle, looking for reasons why planes vanish over Nevada; and Big Foot, examining the evidence about the beast's existence. Smithsonian Channel aired the U.S. premiere of this series on Sunday, August 30, 2015 at 9pm ET/PT.
