Plot Synopsis

Each half-hour episode of MOUNTAIN LIFE follows a family and their real estate agent, as they search for the buyer's dream mountain home. From the wooded peaks of the East Coast's Blue Ridge to Hawaii's tropical Mauna Loa, the mountains are the ultimate retreat for people who want to get away from it all. The gorgeous views, fresh air, and the sheer joy of sitting on top of the world are a few of the elements that draw homeowners to these remote locations. On Saturday, March 5, 2016 from 11pm-Midnight ET/PT, HGTV premiered back-to-back sneak-peek episodes. Thirteen months later, MOUNTAIN LIFE returned for its official series premiere on Saturday, April 8, 2017 from 11pm-Midnght, again with back-to-back episodes. In the official series opener (11pm), "Blue Ridge Retreat," a young couple is ready to leave Atlanta's congestion for Georgia's sprawling Blue Ridge Mountains. While he is hoping to find a home with a man cave, she's set on finding a property with lake access and superior mountain views. Can they stay within their budget of $500,000 and still find a home that checks every box on their wish list? Then, in the night's second new episode (11:30pm), "Finding the Perfect Rocky Mountain Retreat in Breckenridge, Colorado," a couple of empty nesters from Texas look to escape from hot summers and enjoy the winters of Breckenridge, CO. They're hoping to find a turnkey house with big windows and striking views of the Rocky Mountains. The market in Breckenridge is hot, though, so if these Texas transplants want to find the home of their dreams, they'll have to act fast! Season 3 of MOUNTAIN LIFE premiered on Saturday, May 5, 2018 from 11pm-Midnight ET/PT, as HGTV debuted back-to-back new episodes.

On Monday, July 2, 2018 at 9pm ET/PT, GAC premiered the Season 3 finale of MOUNTAIN LIFE as part of a 15-hour marathon (1pm-4am). In the season ender, "Colorado Springs Mountain Home," a California family is excited to relocate to Colorado Springs, CO. They're looking for a home that's removed from their neighbors yet close enough for the children to grow up part of a close community. They hope to find a house with a rustic mountain feel and amazing views for a reasonable price, but their agent knows that houses are selling quickly in this popular location.
