Plot Synopsis

Five hip-hop music experts discuss recent news, debate the day's headlines, uncover the latest cultural trends, go behind the scenes at events, and interview the most influential musicians and singers. Plus, each episode ends with a performance by today's hottest hip-hop artists. The five experts are: Charlamagne Tha God, a radio personality on New York's Power 105.1, who is outspoken and has expressed controversial opinions and outbursts on the radio for years; Sowmya Krishnamurthy, a digital age journalist and blogger for "Vibe," "NY Magazine," "Village Voice," MTV.com and her own blog, thesowmyalife.com; Bu Thiam, Vice President of A&R at Def Jam, is a record-label executive who has worked with everyone from Lady Gaga, to T-Pain, to Rihanna; Amanda Seales -- a DJ, standup comic, musician, and TV actor -- has DJ'd sets for the likes of Lenny Kravitz, Q-tip, The Roots, and more; and Devi Dev, a radio personality on Sirius XM's "Sway in the Morning," who's known for her smart and revealing interviews with some of hip hops leading names including Kanye West, Dr. Dre, and Quincy Jones.
