Plot Synopsis

Tom 'Wookie' Ford and Jonny Smith, two real-life friends and UK car journalists, captain a team of two car nuts who have 24 hours to mutate, supersize and reconstruct ordinary vehicles. Once transformed, the vehicles are raced in three extreme missions involving head-to-head sprints, timed challenges and stunts. Each week, the daredevil pair lead a different team of car enthusiasts working with a different theme, like the series premiere, which features the Perkins brothers from Detroit and racers Keith and Rob from California building the ultimate cop cars.

On Monday, March 23, 2015 at 10pm ET/PT, BBC America premiered the season finale of MUD, SWEAT & GEARS. In the season ender, "Carcade," Jonny and Wookie lead two teams and transform regular cars into real-world arcade cars. Jonny is joined by two car-dealing brothers from the East Coast, Adam and Craig. Wookie's team is VW-racing brothers from Utah, Trent and Eric. They compete in three zany missions inspired by games such as Donkey Kong, Pong and Frogger -- the racetracks are littered with hazards.
