Plot Synopsis
This half-hour weekly series reveals the stories and truth behind some of the most memorable music videos of the 1980s, showing how the concepts came about, which artists were hard to handle, and, of course, what scandals occurred on set. Get the stories behind the historic music video, "Video Killed The Radio Star," the innovative use of computers in Dire Straits' "Money For Nothing," and how rotoscoping created a new look for A-Ha's "Take On Me." Each episode focuses on the catalogue of work for one of the following influential music video directors: David Mallet (Billy Idol "White Wedding"); Wayne Isham (Metallica "Enter Sandman"); Russell Mulcahy (The Buggles "Video Killed The Radio Star"); Kevin Goody (The Police "Every Breathe You Take"); and Steve Barron (Michael Jackson "Billie Jean.")
