Plot Synopsis

In MY LOTTERY DREAM HOME, David Bromstad takes overnight millionaires on the ultimate search for their new home. After seeing three properties, the new buyers choose one of the properties to call home. From seven-figure real estate listings to 10-acre properties and nine-bedroom mansions, these big winners are looking to upgrade to high-dollar properties. Each half-hour episode features a different lottery winner, including the series premiere, during which David takes Ohio lottery winners Joe and Lauren on a search for the perfect family dream home. Currently renting, the couple says they fantasize about finding a spacious new home where they can expand their family. David shows them three gorgeous properties, including a newly built home that Joe and Lauren can customize; a sprawling three-acre mansion with six-car garage; and a luxurious move-in ready home with an elaborate upstairs movie theater. HGTV premiered back-to-back pilot episodes of MY LOTTERY DREAM HOME on Saturday, March 7, 2015 at 1pm ET/PT, focusing on a Joe & Rhonda, who won $11.7 million in the Minnesota Lottery and are looking for a new dream home near beautiful Stillwater, and Rick & Lorie, who won the Lottery's Mega Millions jackpot of $180 million dollars and are looking for their dream home in Riverside County. On Friday, January 1, 2016 from 10-11am ET/PT, HGTV premiered two more sneak-peek episodes of MY LOTTERY DREAM HOME. In the first episode (10am), David takes New Jersey's newest Lottery winners on a tour to find an amazing new Dream Home, and they have a total of $7 million to spend. Then, in the second episode (10:30am), David takes Californian jackpot winners, who were forced to move in with their mother following a family illness and unemployment, on a search for their dream home by the waterfront, with room for a boat and a pool. MY LOTTERY DREAM HOME has its official series premiere one week later on Friday, January 8, 2016 at 11pm.

Season 2 of MY LOTTERY DREAM HOME premiered on Friday, January 6, 2017 at 9pm ET/PT on HGTV. In the 10-episode second season, David Bromstad takes lucky lottery winners on the ultimate search for their new home -- from seven-figure real estate listings to 10-acre properties and nine-bedroom mansions. In the season opener, "Dreaming on Chesapeake Bay," a retired couple that loves to spend holidays with family wins $1 million in the North Carolina Powerball and can finally buy the vacation home of their dreams. David Bromstad gets the chance to show them some gorgeous properties along the Virginia coast, all of which would be great for their family, but will they prioritize size over having a great view?

MY LOTTERY DREAM HOME returned for its third season on Friday, June 2, 2017 at 9pm ET/PT on HGTV. In the season opener, "A Family Affair," a husband and wife win a whopping $7 million on a New York Cash for Life Lottery and decide they want to live closest to their eldest son in Buffalo, New York. David Bromstad shows them houses to match their millionaire checkbooks, but how far from their son are they willing to go for the home of their dreams?

On Friday, February 9, 2018 at 9pm ET/PT, HGTV premiered the fourth season of MY LOTTERY DREAM HOME. In the season opener, "Florida Dreaming," a husband and wife realize their dream of owning their own house and land in North Port, Florida, after winning $1 million on a Florida scratcher. She wants a gourmet kitchen and resort pool and he wants huge backyard to grow fruit trees. David Bromstad heads to North Port to help them find just what they need.

Season 5 of MY LOTTERY DREAM HOME premiered on Friday, September 21, 2018 at 9pm ET/PT on HGTV. In the season opener, "My Lottery Dream Stable," life is too short to put your passions on hold, so when Jorge, Jackie and their daughter, Jillian, won a staggering $5 million on a Florida scratcher, they could finally buy the horse ranch that they had only dreamed about. David Bromstad meets up with them in Loxahatchee, Florida, to help find the perfect house, land and stables.

The sixth season of MY LOTTERY DREAM HOME premiered on Friday, January 4, 2019 at 9pm ET/PT on HGTV. In the season opener, "A Hero's Reward," after lady luck rewards a retired firefighter for a lifetime of service with a big win, dream home hunter David Bromstad helps him search for the perfect bachelor pad in the Lakeland region of Florida.

HGTV premiered the seventh season of MY LOTTERY DREAM HOME on Friday, April 5, 2019 at 9pm ET/PT. In the season opener, "Big Sky Dream Home," Montana residents Daniel and Marcia won $1 million in the state lottery and can now afford to buy a dream home in Big Sky country to accommodate their big family! The only problem is that Daniel wants a ranch on a whopping 200 acres of land, but Marcia would like something more manageable. David Bromstad gets to explore some new territory north of Billings, Montana, to show them properties of varying sizes in the quest to find their Big Sky dream home.

Season 8 of MY LOTTERY DREAM HOME debuted on Friday, December 13, 2019 at 9pm ET/PT on HGTV. The eighth season opens with "Winner Winner Chicken Dinner," featuring Patty, who won a million dollars on a scratch-off and is beside herself with excitement to find the house of her dreams with the help of David Bromstad. Patty and her sister-in-law target the upmarket suburb of Spring Hill, Florida, for their search. David has some fabulous houses up his sleeve and can't wait to explore this part of Florida, which is known as the "Adventure Coast" and is only a short drive from Tampa.

The 11th season of MY LOTTERY DREAM HOME premiered on Friday, November 12, 2021 at 9pm ET/PT on HGTV. In the season opener, "Mortgage Free in Atlanta," after winning $1 million, a San Francisco family decides they want to live mortgage free and buy a huge home in Atlanta. They're looking for a place with a few projects and a big yard, and David shows them just how far their money can go in the suburbs.

On Friday, November 19, 2021 from 9-10pm ET/PT, HGTV premiered "David's Holiday Extravaganza," a one-hour MY LOTTERY DREAM HOME special. David Bromstad and his sisters transform his new house into a Scandinavian holiday wonderland! They share childhood memories and decorating tips as they fill the home with a forest of trees, twinkling garland and David's newest obsession -- gnomes!

Season 12 of MY LOTTERY DREAM HOME debuted on Friday, July 8, 2022 at 9pm ET/PT on HGTV. With multiple winners scoring one million dollars or more this season, David is excited to help a new host of winners from places spanning from Plymouth, Massachusetts to Cedar Rapids Iowa, search for decked out properties that will check off every box on a lottery winner's wish list. In the season opener, "Millionaire Mama," avid helps Stephanie, a Miami-based single mom, find her first home as an empty-nester. Stephanie never thought she could afford a house, but after winning one million dollars on a five dollar scratcher, David helps make her wishes come true. David, who is a former Miami resident, shows Stephanie a few suburban neighborhoods to help her envision a new lifestyle outside the city center.
The 14th season of MY LOTTERY DREAM HOME premiered on Friday, November 25, 2022 at 9pm ET/PT on HGTV. In the season opener, "New Money, New York City!," after winning $1000 dollars a day for life, a Texas native bought his family a dream home in Houston. Now, he's calling on David to search exclusive New York City real estate to find a luxurious Manhattan apartment fit for a lottery winner. (Note: This episode is episode 1314 on HGTV listings, indicating it's part of Season 13, but a December 1 press release touted the ratings of this installment as the season opener.) New episodes continue on Fridays at 9pm, starting on December 2 with episode 1401 ("Ain't Nothin' But a Corn Dog").
