THE NIGHT CALLER is a four-part, true-crime documentary series that explores a killer's harrowing legacy -- of tragedy, grief, responsibility and redemption -- through the eyes of those closest to the killer and his victims whose lives he altered irrevocably. In the early 1960s, Perth was a sunny, peaceful and innocent city, suddenly devastated by a spate of horrific, disparate, seemingly senseless killings, which local police failed to connect and attribute to one man until it was far too late. During that time, Eric Edgar Cooke (aka The Night Caller) terrorized and destroyed the local Australian community, murdering eight people and assaulting and attempting to kill many, many more. After debuting in Australia on November 29, 2020 with the title AFTER THE NIGHT, this series had its U.S. premiere on Tuesday, January 19, 2021 at 3:01am ET/12:01am PT on SundanceNow, as the streaming service released the first episode. A new episode debuts each Tuesday thereafter, through February 9.
